Morning / Biertan Fortified Church
- I’ll pick you up from your Brașov hotel and drive to Biertan, a UNESCO-listed fortified church known for its impressive towers, fortified walls, and fascinating history. We’ll explore the church, learn about the Saxon community, and enjoy the serene village surroundings.
Late Morning / Sighişoara Citadel
- From Biertan, we head to Sighişoara, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval towns. As we enter the citadel, I’ll guide you through its cobbled streets, share stories about its Saxon heritage, and show you landmarks like the Clock Tower, Church on the Hill, and colorful houses dating back centuries.
Lunch
- We’ll enjoy a traditional Romanian meal at a local restaurant inside the citadel. This is a chance to taste authentic dishes while soaking in the medieval atmosphere.
Afternoon / Sighişoara Exploration
- After lunch, we’ll continue wandering the streets of the citadel, discovering hidden corners, artisan shops, and local crafts. I’ll share interesting stories about famous residents like Vlad the Impaler, the architecture, and local traditions.
- Optional short walk around the citadel walls or a nearby viewpoint for scenic photos of the Târnava Mare valley.
Late Afternoon / Return
- After a day steeped in Saxon culture and medieval charm, we drive back to Brașov, with plenty of memories and photos from this unique Transylvanian experience.
