Morning
- I’ll pick you up from your Brașov hotel and drive to Zărnești Gorge, a hidden natural gem where sheer limestone cliffs tower on both sides. We’ll take an easy, scenic walk — perfect for photos, breathing in fresh mountain air, and feeling far from the city.
Mid-Morning / Piatra Craiului Natural Park
- After the gorge, we continue to Plaiul Foii, located in Piatra Craiului Natural Park, home to some of the most spectacular mountains in the country. You’ll enjoy panoramic views, fresh mountain air, and the chance to soak in the dramatic scenery of the Carpathians.
Lunch
- We head to Poiana Mărului, a picturesque village where we’ll enjoy a traditional Romanian lunch at a local restaurant. Taste homemade dishes and experience the local hospitality.
Afternoon
- Next, we visit Șinca Veche, home to the legendary “cave monastery.” I’ll show you its carved chambers, hidden altars, and share the fascinating local stories about this mystical site.
- Then, we drive to Sâmbăta de Sus Monastery, an Orthodox sanctuary known for its peaceful grounds and beautiful frescoes. I’ll guide you around and point out the details most visitors miss.
Return
- Arrive back in Brașov in the late afternoon or early evening.
